Energy Projects
iXion’s Energy Projects Sector is active in the development, construction and operation of RES projects of all technologies.
iXion’s Energy Projects Sector is responsible for the development of RES projects with an emphasis on wind and photovoltaic plants, but also the development of small hydroelectric plants as well as electricity storage plants using accumulators. The projects in question are either new (greenfield projects), or come from third parties after acquisition or co-development. The Energy Projects Sector has the appropriate know-how and experience for the full licensing and maturation of the projects so that they reach the construction stage and finally receive an operating license. Finally, the Department undertakes the technical-economic evaluation of all projects (whether greenfield or third-party) and contributes to making final decisions for their implementation.

OUR PROJECTS
Wind Farm Melissovouni
The company is developing a wind farm with a maximum production capacity of 27MW in the location of Melissovouni, in the Municipality of Erymanthos, in the Regional Unit of Achaia. For this project, the company has received the production license from the Regulatory Authority for Energy (RAE), while all the necessary environmental studies required for its further licensing have been completed. The project is expected to produce 80,000 MWh annually, energy that can cover the annual consumption of 20,000 households.
Battery Storage System (BSS) Eleon
The company is developing an electrical energy storage station through accumulators in the location of Eleon in the Municipality of Thebes, in the Regional Unit of Boeotia. The maximum injection and absorption power amounts to 50MW, while the installed capacity is expected to reach 125MWh. The company has received the necessary storage license from the Regulatory Authority for Energy (RAE) and will soon receive the other licenses required to start construction and operation of the project.
Fitorio Hybrid Station
The company is developing, on a privately owned land, a hybrid station with a guaranteed power of 1.6MW consisting of a Photovoltaic Station with a power of 2MW and an Electric Energy Storage System with Accumulators with a capacity of 5MWh, at Fitorio, in the Regional Unit of Kos, in the South Aegean Region. The company has applied for the relevant license from the Regulatory Authority for Energy (RAE) and is expected to proceed with the implementation of the project immediately after receiving all the necessary approvals.
